And the sun set on our grand European adventure.. Arrividerci Roma! We caught a surprisingly punctual, comfortable and fast bus from Bari to Rome where we spent the last few days in Europe before we flew home via Bangkok. It was a bit of an emotional time, looking back, and we definitely savoured every last drop of Italian and European life whilst we were there – plenty of pizza, pasta and gelato I can assure you! We stayed in the Trastevere area across the river from the main tourist attractions – we can highly recommend it, it’s very quaint. We visited the Vatican, for a fridge magnet, but missed out on the Colosseum and Forum as we’d been before. I have to say, Rome is definitely growing on us. Even with all it’s downsides, it’s a very charming city and has a certain magic to it – it should definitely be on your European travel list.
