We’ve just come out of a long and brutal London winter. It was tough. Six months. It’s now spring and everything is looking up again. We landed in London in early October and spent our first week at Kevin, Dylan’s friend’s place, in Walthamstow, NE London, before spending two weeks in Brixton and two weeks in Clapham with Airbnbs. Then, finally, we found a place of our own to bunker down and hibernate for the winter in. A terrace house share with four other amazing people in Fulham, SW6 London. It’s a beautiful area and we love it, we love our house and our housemates!
We had to hit the ground running and find some jobs so that we could live in this incredibly expensive city, but we managed. It snowed all of twice all winter, never staying on the ground, but it was super cool nonetheless! Jess’ mum Cath came to visit for a week as well, which was awesome.
We got to experience “Bonfire Night” in September, at Battersea Park. That was so cool. Also “Winter Wonderland” in Hyde Park with ice skating and amusement park rides! I won’t bore you with all the small details of London life.. perhaps that will come in future posts. But for now, here are a few photos of the general vibe of London in the winter time. It’s grey, it’s cold. There are no leaves. It rains a bit, but not much, actually. It’s been a tough time, but a lot of fun as well.
