Istanbul / Turkey

And we’re back!

A rather large gap this time. The previous posts have been from our trip to Hawaii in May 2018. It is now February 2021, almost three years later. Uhoh.

This post is the first from our trip that we took to Greece, Turkey and Singapore in September of 2019 for Jess’ 30th birthday. So even this post is already 17 months late. Whoops.

Anyway. We had an amazing month in the sun in Greece and Turkey. Istanbul is an incredible city, Dylan’s first time there, but Jess’ third. The food, the hospitality, the music, the culture, the liveliness, we love it all.

Of course there is a pandemic now and we can’t travel. Turkey is one of the places I long to return to as soon as we can again.

So we spent around 4 days in Istanbul this time, it is a huge city and there is always more to explore. We stayed near Galata tower at Mola Hotel which was nice, and spent our first day on a side quest to the Prince’s Islands off the coast to get straight into some European water after a long Australian winter.
